Summary:
This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping and performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms. Housekeeping Room Attendants clean rooms to South Shore Harbour Resort standards under the supervision of a housekeeping supervisor. The room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform all necessary cleaning activities such as dusting, sweeping, trash removal, mopping, and polishing.
2. Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries.
3. Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
4. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
5. Empty trash containers in rooms and bathrooms.
6. Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
7. Replace laundry bags and slips.
8. Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score.
9. Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.
10. Return and restock cart at end of shift.
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous hotel-related experience desired.
3. Ability to work independently.
